He took a Chinese name, but he is actually a pure Mongolian. Last name Bao is a change from Borjigin. Inner Mongolians claim those who with last name Borjigin are the true descendants of Genghis Khan. His parents are Mongolians and they (including him) speak their own language. He was too tall to find a woman who would marry him. After being recognized as the tallest man in the world, he got rich but still no Mongolian woman would marry him, so he is married to a Chinese woman.
