Verses 16 to 40 in the 19th chapter of the Glorious Holy Qur'an - Sura Maryam (Chapter Mary)

The recitor is Mishary Al-Afasi

(16) Relate in the Book (the story of) Mary, when she withdrew from her family to a place in the East.

(17) She placed a screen (to screen herself) from them: then We sent to her Our angel, and he appeared before her as a man in all respects.

(18) She said: "I seek refuge from you to (Allah) Most Gracious: (come not near) if you fear Allah."

(19) He said: "Nay, I am only a messenger from your Lord (to announce) to you the gift of a holy son."

(20) She said: "How shall I have a son, seeing that no man has touched me, and I am not unchaste?"

(21) He said: "So (it will be): your Lord said `That is easy for Me: and (We wish) to appoint him as a Sign unto men and a Mercy from Us': it is a matter (so) decreed."

(22) So she conceived him, and she retired with him to a remote place.

(23) And the pains of childbirth drove her to the trunk of a palm-tree: she cried (in her anguish): "Ah! would that I had died before this! Would that I had been a thing forgotten and out of sight!"

(24) But (a voice) cried to her from beneath the (palm-tree): "Grieve not! for your Lord has provided a rivulet beneath you;

(25) "And shake towards yourself the trunk of the palm-tree: it will let fall fresh ripe dates upon you.

(26) "So eat and drink and rejoice. And if you see any man say `I have vowed a fast to (Allah) Most Gracious, and this day will I enter into no talk with any human being.' "

(27) At length she brought the (babe) to her people, carrying him (in her arms). they said: "O Mary! truly an amazing thing have you brought!

(28) "O sister of Aaron! your father was not a man of evil, nor your mother a woman unchaste!"

(29) But she pointed to the babe. They said: "How can we talk to one who is a child in the cradle?"

(30) He said: "I am indeed a servant of Allah: He has given me revelation and made me a prophet;

(31) "And He has made me Blessed wheresoever I be, and has enjoined on me Prayer and Charity as long as I live;

(32) "(He) has made me kind to my mother, and not overbearing or miserable;

(33) "So Peace is on me the day I was born, the day that I die and the day that I shall be raised up to life (again)"!

(34) Such (was) Jesus the son of Mary: (it is) a statement of truth, about which they (vainly) dispute.

(35) It is not befitting to (the majesty of) Allah that He should beget a son. Glory be to Him! When He determines a matter, He only says to it "Be", and it is.

(36) Verily Allah is my Lord and your Lord: Him therefore serve you: this is a Way that is straight.

(37) But the sects differ among themselves: and woe to the Unbelievers because of the (coming) Judgment of a momentous Day!

(38) How plainly will they see and hear, the Day that they will appear before Us! but the unjust today are in error manifest!

(39) But warn them of the Day of Distress, when the matter will be determined: for (behold) they are negligent and they do not believe!

(40) It is We Who will inherit the earth, and all beings thereon: to Us will they all be returned.

  • Allah (swt) gave the Prophets (pbut) the ability to perform miracles. But the miracles were for the people of their time (e.g. Prophet Moses (pbuh) miracle mentioned in Sura an-Naziat (Chapter 79) was only witnessed by Pharoah and those around him). For me, you and all humankind today, we have been given a miracle for ourselves to bear witness to. This miracle is the Qur'an.

    may peace be upon you!

  • I believe they are both mighty messengers of the One Almighty God. They follow no other human being, but rather submit their will to Almighty God.

  • @joshi8 We must humble ourselves and judge not. For God is the only Judge. Does your Quran not say that Jesus would be a sign of God's mercy? Well he is for us christians, who were lost and did not know God. Through Jesus we are reconciled unto God. It is his love and mercy and grace that draws us to him. This journey is not easy. There are trials and temptations, but blessed is the one who perseveres. I live by faith. I cannot say who will not be in heaven, for God is able to save all.

  • @yusriyusra as a muslim, how are you forgiven? or do you lead a life that is blameless? We have to live a life of holiness when we accept Christ and we must truly be sorry and repent (do no more) of our sins. The "christians" you see living a worldly life that do not follow the teachings of jesus, to love each other and stay away from sin, will be held accountable. Remember that God sees the heart and knows our thoughts. We cannot pretend righteousenss with God. We can deceive men but not God.

  • @realbasil Im not expert on the bible…Im a simple human being who have simple concept of my Creator.. Im thankful for islam.. do yourself a favor… listen to these people,,…type it...Top 10 Reasons Why Jesus is not God - Joshua Evans - TheDeenShow

    the message is simple..ONE GOD… He begets..nor is he begotten..He is too above to be like us..

  • @realbasil we muslims have no problem with Jesus's teaching.. its in line with the teaching all the messengers of God.. they brought the same message.to submit to ONE GOD only…

    "Verily, the likeness of Jesus in God's Sight is the likeness of Adam. He (God) created him from dust, then (He) said to him: ‘Be!'-and he was" (Quran 3:59).

  • @realbasil JYour God is very revengeful, cruel, petty… He made Jesus pay just because Adam and eve disobeyed Him and what the heck.. it was just an apple.. and He had ' his son crucified??" hand pierced ..punished thru and thru by his enemies???Is he a bloodthirsty God?Just to forgive our sins?.. yet those murderers, rapist,molesters. child abusers, adulterers, fornicators.. can easily be forgiven just by submitting to Jesus??who really enjoying worldly pleasure here

  • @REELISTICLY Yuh God can be do anything… but there are things that God Will Not be .. to be something He created.. if you believe God can be born, walked, slept.. cried… what's the difference between your concept of God and those who worship the trees, the animals, the stones…??? God can do anything right??

  • @realbasil we have no problem with that concept… its natural to have labour pain… what's funny is to believe that pain comes as a result of the original sin.. so shouldnt God take away the pain for all those christians women.. why punish them still?

  • Muslims believe in the virgin birth. Then who was Jesus' Father?? Yes - God!! He is the one begotten son of the Father. Give Him praise and glory!!

  • @REELISTICLY if you truly believe what you say (how Jesus is god and all) I invite you to come check out a series of videos i am uploading with proofs that Jesus is not God or the Son of God, im sure that if what you claim is true and you have proof you can prove my videos wrong right, if you are interested here is the video youtube.com/watch?v=sMfR2-t4CsM
