  • @arbir its very much like pluckng chikari string on Sitar... it adds a very beautiful touch to the note... :) dis is also done in violin by plucking d upper Shadja, by some violinist :)

  • @arbir I'm not exactly sure why, but it is for the same reason that many strings are plucked when playing the veena. It may be to maintain that sruthi?
