This song is written about a man that one of the members of REM used to work for on a farm... wendell gee. Wendell Gee's grandson is Reid Gee. my friend. seems awesome to know someone who's related to someone who has a song about them. lol. and it's awesome to have a band widely known that's from where I am. It's upsetting this band broke up not long ago. such great music came from these guys.

this is great on a lot of levels. I particularly like the homegrown recording which seems to mimic the early days of REM and lyrics not being front and center in their recording. great job man

What a terrific interpretation of one of my favorite songs. A bit more upbeat but I still like it.
