Once you have a family member dying of cancer because they were heavy smokers or cirrhosis of the liver because they were a hopeless drunk..
Please do not forget to let all your mates no what a legendary drinker and smoker they were and how they partied till the end..
Except for the last 6 months which was in agony, but im sure they enjoyed even the pain

I remember the time Higgins was discovered in a taxi, passed out, with an empty bottle of mouthwash in his hand (or some other equally offensive product, perhaps perfume?) and that made the Daily Mirror I think. But Reed surely had worse antics than that. At his death, he had been arm-wrestling sailors for hours, after drinking a dozen beers, and just as many mixed drinks containing copious amounts of rum, and in the sweltering heat of the Mediterranean. Crazy times.
