  • you're a good spinner :) but why did you let your back ace the camera at first? anyway good job ;)

  • hey ya!!!

i was choosing a track on my mp3....... and it was ali farke toure!!

    cheerss

  • doing fantastic I love some of the interesting transitions. 7 months, fantastic. love the inside up down stall into a pinwheel. seriously great. if anything is holding you back at all I think it's just the fact that your mind knows poi better than your body does. so you can make the poi do it but your body can't correspond exactly how it should. keep up the good work. and I hope you don't mind but i'm stealing that transition from you :)

  • my body is starting to work with my mind now, but i have had to resort to using stretchy SOCK POI which i said i wouldnt go bac to after using chains and laces.

but anyway great comment, i try to let the poi do the talking now rather than my mind.

  • Amazing progress for 7 months, you must practice a lot! Technically, you've got a good vocabulary of moves, the only one of which I think could use some cleaning was the meltdowns, aside from that, you're very clean. My criticism wouldn't be of your technical skills, but rather of this video as a whole. It's a bit too long, and the song is too slow, so it is well, a little boring after a while. Also, you should start stylising your moves, do your moves with some flair and individuality.

  • thanks, i will try and shorten it next time, you are great by the way.

i'm clean in this video coz i am not exploring the space that is around me, its much easier to focus on your poi when your not darting around the place trying to dance. lol

i am adding flair at the moment........i think.

  • can't be in 7 months!!!! crazy

    or do nothing else?

  • damn good for only 7 months. impressive

  • Thanks man, I understand about the movement thing. I still struggle with it myself, I think I have trouble feeling comfortable enough in front of a crowd to spin the way I normally want to spin. It's getting better, dance is a state of mind, and it's so much harder to reach when you're feeling self-conscious. Style develops naturally though I feel, so don't push yourself too hard, at the rate you're progressing, I'd say keep doing what you're doing.

  • You must have been doing nothing but practice the past seven months...takes years to be able to get to that level! Keep it up, it'll be interesting to see where the next 7 months take you!

  • thanks your really good as well.

i like how you spin kinda like mine, in the way its more controlled by a slower spin.. looks more elegant to me i guess.

BUt yah any advice you have for me bring it on i spin non stop, and also love to outside as well! thanks man!

  • Hi! thanks for subscribing!!

I don't know about poi so much though, I can understand your movement can't seem as the result of 7months practice.

    awesome!

But this vid is a little bit long I think.

Anyway I like the video.slow, comfortable music also.

  • hey ditto, cheers dude. much appreciated.

i am experimenting now with movement to music, and i am slowly understanding how to perform the tricks so i can give the audience the best results possible.

    cheers for the comment

i want to see more of that latin style poi too, you should get the dancers to have glowsticks on there hands & feet and dim the lights a little, or something along those lines.
