    Thanks for the comments guys. Yep, this is one video where you don't want to mask the sound from those muscle turboprops. Down here, we've nicknamed the CV580 "Old Smokey", due to the smoke trail. :)

    The other turboprop I like is the high pitch scream of the Rolls Royce Darts as used on Fokker Friendships, the Hawker Siddly HS748, and - I believe, the Convair 600.

    If you want, I can put all the video on a DVD for you - about 40 minutes, and post it to you.

  • @ma123464 You don't need any other music than the Allisons! :-) I really cranked up the volume on your take-off roll. We in America who remember the 580 with North Central Airlines thank you for this trip down memory lane.

  • Excellent presentation from flight instruments to various systems to cruise and shutdown.

    Love the fact that there is no music except the Allisons spooling. Was the FO's small window open during takeoff?

    Not sure if we still have the 580's operating out of YSBK.
