I cant wait for my Jim Yamouridis CD to arrive in the post: I suspect when I hit play, I will hear the voice & guitar of Jim. I would be very surprised if I heard anything remotely similar to Cohen or Cash, but lets remember putting labels & niches on people, essentially pigeon-holing them into an easy to understand boxes, is useful for those with little imagination. Let them have their aids- I enjoying having his music!

I totally disagree, he doesn't sound like Johnny Cash at all. He doesn't, he sounds like Jim Yamouridis. Stop comparing. Just appreciate, feel the distinction, if you want to listen to Johnny Cash then listen to the Johnny Cash, not to someone who you think sounds like Johnny Cash. Sorry, Jim Yamouridis is Jim Yamouridis, he doesn't sound like Johnny Cash at all, but he does sound great!
