This is a short tutorial on how to make a super tree forest using minecraft world edit plug-in. Which you can download (as a part of single player commands) here:

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
First you create a series of hollow cylinders for your tree trunk, each one getting 5-10 taller and 1 less in radius. //hcyl (material- I used 'tree' or '17') (radius I started at 10, stopped at 5) (height)
Then you create a sphere at the top to dome off the top of the trunk. You want to be perfectly centered and use the radius of the last cylinder you made for the sphere. NOTE: Because the sphere spawns around you, you will get stuck inside and have to break out. //hsphere (material) (radius)
Next you have to add branches. To do this just add spheres next to each other around your trunk using a sphere brush tool. Once they look kinda like branches you can add leaves and make them look better. //br sphere (material) (radius - should be small for better looking branches)
---You type that command in while holding a tool, then you right click to add spheres.
Add leaves by doing the same thing as with branches. Bind a leaves brush to a tool with the command and right click on top of your branches and trunck. To make it so that the wood is not deleted by the leaves use the following command. //mask !(material(s) you don't want deleted)
Next I painted torches on to the tree to make it light up a bit. Bind a torch brush to a tool and then mask it so that it only replaces air. //mask air
This makes it so that it does not replace blocks with torches.
I also used a single player command to turn off drops. This is because lots of the torches don't successfully place and turn into drops. This lags the game a lot when placing lots of torches. /drops off (this is a single player commands command, not a world edit command)
Next I added a forest around the tree so it felt more in place. Using the forestgen command I kept adding trees in a radius of 100 and 200. The more you type in the same command the denser the forest becomes. I typed it in 10 times or more. //forestgen (radius)
Finally I used a wood axe (which is by default the wand or selection tool for world edit) to select my entire tree's area, copy it, and paste it. To obtain the wood axe type in //wand
then once you select the area //copy & //paste
I added a rope bridge manually and then I made it snow onto the forest using //snow (radius)
Now you have a large snowy forest with two huge trees!
