"The Most Intimate Moment In Her Life... Ended in Murder!" Roadshow fans rejoice! Something Weird Video has uncovered the long-lost 1948 hygiene classic, Street Corner! Along with Mom and Dad, Because of Eve, and The Story of Bob and Sally, Street Corner was one of the four prominent postwar hygiene epics that became part of the Modern Film hygiene consortium, the firm with which DAVID F. FRIEDMAN started his incredible career in exploitation. It's another variation on the familiar story of a high school girl, Lois Marsh (MARCIA MAE JONES), not quite eighteen, whose parents have neglected to tell her about the facts of life. After a passionate encounter with her boyfriend, Bob (JOHN TRUEL) -- where her "deflowering" is symbolized by her squeezing a corsage -- Lois finds herself "in trouble." Worse, Bob ends up dead in a car crash as he rushes back from college to marry her. Lois makes the mistake of confiding in Kitty Mae (JAN SUTTON), the hash-slinger at the local soda joint, "who knows the lowdown, the inside, the dope, when it comes to the payoff on untimely affection." Kitty Mae steers Lois to a grim-faced, steely-eyed, female abortionist who speaks with a foreign accent: "You women from over on the other side of town don't come here until everything else has failed. Have you got the money?" - Something Weird
