Citizen journalism organization TheUpTake.org covered the very exclusive press conference today, in which President Barack Obama spoke on behalf of the earthquake-shaken Haiti.
For the past week, Haiti has been dealing with copious amounts of destruction, homelessness, and hunger as a result of the earthquakes contributing to further financial hardships for the poverty-ridden country.
In the press conference, President Obama affirmed, Haiti will have the full support of the United States, which will include emergency medical relief services, and the transportation of water, food, and many other basic amenities. The President also urged Americans and the entire world to contribute to the Haitian victims at Whitehouse.gov.
