Review - Far Cry 2

In this review, I take a look at the recent Ubisoft shooter Far Cry 2 (PC Version), a game I've waited for a long time. The song is the theme to the game. From what I can tell the game is pretty much the same on the PS3 and Xbox 360, but the visuals are toned down from the PC version.

ESRB Rating: Mature (17+) - Blood, Drug Reference, Intense Violence, Sexual Themes, Strong Language

All settings maxed in video with 8x AA and 800x600 resolution for best recording speed. I normally play on 1024x768. Watch in high quality/HD (whatever it is these days) for best visuals.

Minimum Requirements for PC:
-Windows XP/Vista
-3.2GHz Pentium 4, 2.66GHz Pentium D, AMD Athlon 64 3500+ or better. Core 2 Duo family, Athlon 64 X2 5200+, AMD Phenom or better recommended.
-1GB RAM for XP, 2GB for Vista. 2GB recommended for XP.
-256MB DirectX 9 or 10 graphics card with shader model 3.0 or higher, 512MB recommended. GeForce 6800 or higher, ATI Radeon 1650-1950/HD 2000/3000/4000 series supported.
-12x DVD-Rom drive
-12GB HD Space

To clarify my review scores (they're "rough" scores, meaning it's not supposed to be some sort of percentage or anything):
1 or lower = Terrible. Avoid at all costs.
1.5 = Has a few redeeming qualities, but still sucks and should be avoided.
2 = Mediocre (Sub-par). You'll probably want to avoid this one.
2.5 = Underwhelming, but playable.
3 = Average. Worth playing, but probably not at full price.
3.5 = Good, but has issues.
4 = Excellent, but has a few problems that could probably be fixed through patching.
4.5 = Exceptional. Better than 4 but still has a few problems that could be ironed out.
5 = Outstanding. Stuff in this category is pretty much "must own."

its is not a direct play on the net on this game yet ?

If you mean a "direct IP connect command," then no, as far as I know there isn't one. If you mean online play, period, then there is (it's pretty laggy though). If you mean LAN play, then yes, I believe there is.

Pretty much the entire game is massive, wide-open, flat areas.

watching this review just made me buy this game on my xbox purely on impulse. NO REGRETS.
