CPR Aquatic, Inc. is proud to release its latest hang-on-the-back protein skimmer, the AeroForceTM. Taking a few cues from its successful BakPakTM protein skimmer line, CPR has utilized some of its previous hang-on design elements, but has also added several new features to enhance the AeroForce'sTM efficiency and effectiveness. Most notably, the AeroForce'sTM dual pump system is at the top of the list of new features also including:

- Recirculating design for added contact time
- Removable, dual body construction
- Extremely quiet and energy-efficient operation (8W total)
- Small internal "footprint"
- De-gassing water return
- Adjustable waste collection cup
- High quality components and cast acrylic body

The AeroForce'sTM dimensions are approximately 7.5" x 3.25" x 17" and is rated for tanks up to 75 gallons depending on the tank's bioload and the other types of filtration being utilized on the aquarium. For more information visit www.cprusa.com or call (707) 826-9636.

  • sounds very noisy

  • @ricohorton I think you might be hearing the ambient noise from the room when we took this video. Please take into consideration that the tank has several pumps running, along with some of our server units running in the same room. It was just a rough video to show the skimmer's bubble production. The unit itself is actually extremely quiet. Several people have seen it in action and can give you their own feedback, but the unit can hardly be heard while in operation.

  • @cprusa95521 thanks for the reply. it seem to be a well built design. i have been looking into this type of hang on for a 55gal i am going to set up. looking for something that is not annoyingly noisy as it will be set up in the living room. i also have been looking at the Aquamaxx HOB as well which also looks like it would work. so it will be between the Aeroforce and the Aquamaxx. may you could post a video clip without all the background noise as others may think it noisy via this video.

  • @ricohorton Thanks for the suggestion on the video. The unit operates more quietly than any skimmer I have worked with (not even close, actually), but I can't say that I've tried the AquaMaxx HOB unit. To give you an idea, the pump inside the unit (creating the bubbles) operates around 4-5W, so it is really efficient (and as a result also runs very quietly). We have shown the unit at trade shows and its quiet operation always seems to be some of the most consistent feedback we get.

  • Just got it and it is super quiet

  • This skimmer is very quiet i just won one at a reef show and seems to be a very well built design hard to screw up made my 72 gallon even quiter. I'm glad i got this cause my coral life skimmer sucks.

  • Do you think this + the medium hob refugium will be enough for a 75 gallons reef?

  • I have this skimmer and I love it. It does such a great job on my 55 gallon FO aquarium....

  • what pump are you using??? i can't get mine to have that much bubble

  • nice skimmer
