Nick's p.o.v

I soon found out that she was still partly my Mel...her heart was still full of thoughts of me even if her head refused to knowledge it. Each time she answered questions as the new Mel every time it came up as a lie telling me the real Mel was still in there somewhere. Mel and even the man himself looked taken back as I was shocked one time after another a smile still stuck to my lips because to them I might have been in pain but to me I had found my Melody again.

I draped forward as the electric current once more stopped flowing through me, I groan as my muscles continued to spasm. My breathing was beyond sallow and I could fill my heart beating irregularly in my chest. I really didn't know how much more I could take of this.

"Last question" the man stated his voice a lot more quiet then before
"Melody do you love Nicholas" he asked his voice slow and steady. I used all my energy I had left to raise my head to look at her and at once her eyes met mine. I just continued to look her pleading with eyes and before she answered I knew this was one answer she was going to get right
"No" she spoke coldly and just like I predicted I was left unharmed. The man looked almost shocked but my heart hardly fluttered I had known this already it was one of the many reasons me and Mel had, had so many fights lately, it was solely the reason we had broken up the night before she had been taken. The reason I had lost her.
Mel had never been any good with commitment

Flash back

"Hey nick" Mel smiled as she opened the door wider letting me in
"Hey" I replied giving her a quick kiss on her cheek making her smile further as she closed the door behind me
"I've just been practicing" she explained and I notice that indeed she was wearing her sweats and ballet shoes
"Can I watch" I asked and I saw her face light up dancing really was her passion just as much as music was mine
"Of course your my best audience" she laughed taking my hand in hers leading us towards the back room where she practices.

For her birthday her parents had decked out the room covering the walls in mirrors and handle bars to make it that much better for her, I dont think she had used a gift that much in her life.
"Impress me" I whispered in her ear pressing my lips to her neck softly before pushing her towards the centre of the room. She smirked at me slightly before I turned on the music and at once she was lost. Dancing her heart out just like she did every time. I could never get bored of watching her dance it was like watching swans swim such grace.

I blushed slightly as she caught me starring at her long after the music had come to an ending
"You're too cute do you know that?" she giggled as I took her in my arms pulling her into my lap
"That's why you love me" I smiled kissing her softly as she nodded. The only thing with Mel is that she likes to throw that word around a lot she says I love you to practically everyone and sometimes it's just confusing
"I love you" I tell her kissing her again
"I love you to" she smiles but it doesnt quite reach her eyes
"No I mean it Mel I really love you" I tell her and I see her become uncomfortable stiffening in my arms. At once my smile fades and I feel my heart slowly falling
"Nick...I" she starts but I cut her off
"No I get it" I state standing up making her stumble back slightly as she moved from my lap
"Nick I'm sorry..." she starts once more but yet again I stop her
"You know you shouldn't just throw those words around like they mean nothing" I almost cruelly tell her heading for the door my anger taking the best of me
"Nick please" she begs but I continue like I haven't even heard her
"I'm just not ready" she barley whispered and I know it took her a lot of courage to say it but still I continue
"I thought you'd be the one to wait for me you know that" she yells after me and I can hear the tears in her voice. I slowly turn to face her and sure enough there are tears slowly running down her cheeks
"And I didn't think you'd be the one to play me" I resort my anger still controlling my actions. I see hurt flash across her eyes before they are replace with anger
"Well I guess we were both wrong" she breaths
"I guess we were" I spat back
"Good bye nick" she directed at me holding open the door
"Good bye" I mutter as I walk through the door not once looking back

End of flash back

Just how did things become so messed up things just seemed to fall apart so quickly and yet we continue to fall with no sight of an ending


An: sorry this is up a lot later then it should have been, I didn't get my hair cut in the end hairdresser was ill and I didn't want to chance it lol I like to stay healthy :P
