  • This film was shot 64 years ago. It is 16mm Kodak Kodachrome film exposed at 24 frames per second. There was a small amount of shrinkage and some perforation damage as you would expect from an antique such as this, but in remarkable condition overall. Enjoy the HD version if you have the bandwidth!

  • i was in barrow in sept 08 it was worth the trip!!!

  • Simply FABULOUS! Not much has changed either! Cardboard boxes full of whale meat/maktaq. The crossed planks and ropes to support the blanket. Kids everywhere. See the wikipedia entry for Nalukataq for a good description and 3 or 4 pictures.

  • I'd love to hear how old this video clip is.
