Where is the "strict" separation of Church and State? Did she even read the Constitution? She even explains that the church was involved with the government back in the revolution. Does she know that over half the signers of the Declaration, Art. of Confed and the Constitution. Thomas Jefferson wrote that "wall of separation" in a letter to the Pastors in Connecticut that requested his help on their fears of a government take over of religion as happened to them in England. She is so wrong!!

What an inferior law teacher! It takes guts to expose herself like this in a classroom, let alone posting it on youtube. I have never listened to a law lecture as uninspiring and lacking in structure as this. Constitutional law is supposed to be fun, but she made it even more boring than secured transactions. Sympathy goes to the poor students.

She also wrongly states that the 1st amendment is a freedom from religion. Also, not true. That is to say, it is not the government's place to go about suppressing religious expression in the public arena. The amendment puts strict limitations on the government in restricting the free exercise thereof. That is the portion of the amendment that is violated on a daily basis. The constitution establishes RIGHTS for people and PRIVELEGES for the government. This too has been turned upside down

I found it interesting that the prof. started the class by stating, we will continue our discussion." There was little to no discussion, only a one-sided portrayal of what the 1st Amendment means. She spoke of T.Jefferson speaking of a "wall of separation.' This quote is ALWAYS taken out of context. Read the text, it was a letter written to the Danbury Baptist Association assuring them that the government would not interfere with the free exercise of religion or establish a state run church.

I disagree 100% with you Miss professor. If a small sect wants to set up their own school system, it does not violate the establishment clause, because there is no civil rights violations if no one of another religion is kept away from attending that school. because in a free society you can do what you want if it doesn't interfere with other people's rights as per the first ten amendments of the constitution.

Ms. Professor, we don't have freedom from religion because the dollar bill says "In God We Trust". We have freedom from being locked into one perception of religion. most of this other stuff that you are talking about falls under common law or statutory law, and if I was standing in a courtroom, right before a magistrate I could not seriously argue this stuff before a magistrate and keep a straight face.

Why don't you just explain the definition of the word "Religion?" Why would you assume that religion is defined to being only a spiritual believe? Here is the New Worlds dictionary's definition of the word, religion. "any specific system of belief and worship, often involving a code of ethics and a philosophy." I believe even atheism is defined as a religion. The founding fathers meant to keep ideas free, for all. No one belief can usurp the other by enforcing laws to punish a single belief.
