Rooted NOOKcolor + DIY Car Mount = Awesome

A basic tour of the setup... I've been wanting something like this in my ride for years, and when the NOOKcolor debuted I knew it was time. The case is Barnes & Noble's own "Industriell" model, held up with a bungee cord.

I'm waiting on two things to turn this thing into a little BEAST:
1) Bluetooth. Once it's enabled (GO XDA DEVS!) I can get rid of the wires and stream music straight to the AUX input using a bluetooth audio receiver. Plus, I can share my Nexus One's GPS.

2) Froyo. (GO XDA DEVS... AGAIN!) This thing is already quick enough with Eclair, but I'm sure it's going to fly with Froyo and the the optimization it brings.

@TheTaosaur you know it! I have Gingerbread and have used it as a GPS nav unit. CyanogenMod has been a big improvement! I'm still trying to figure out how to mount it in a nice-looking way.

Um, this is pretty awesome. I was thinking about something like this and looking to see if someone already had. I'll need to come up with a better mount though, I cant use bungie cords in my Challenger, lol.

@LazarusDark Yeah, the way the Stang radio/dash is, there's no good place for me to mount it and still have access to my radio. I might have to remove the stock head unit and come up with something a little better looking!

Still rocking the NC? I assume you've upgraded to Gingerbread and have it tethered over bluetooth by now--big improvement, or about the same?
