The only reason Hugh died was because of hate. If he hadn't had such a grudge against David, he would never have been hit by that car.

@unclaimedtreas well that make is more believable that people sometimes only wears their clothes few times which is planned in making this movie especially for Davids situation- for his role. :)

I can't be the only one who thinks James Spader's character is like the only not stupid character in this? I mean the mom's like a pedophile, jk but she's got sexual assault written all over her, the dad's got some anger issues, the David guy is creepily obssessive, Brooke Sheilds is stupid in the beginning for boning like a rabbit earlier in the film and acting like it's alright, dumb for getting back with him. Spader's character just wants this dude to leave his fucked up family alone.
