19th August 2008: We travelled for several hours deep into the Bush in search of Chief Sekute. We eventually found him in Ngwanzi village on the shores of the Zambezi. Upon our arrival we were informed that President Mwanawasa had passed away in the morning. It had been our intention to discuss business with the Chief but given the circumstances we paid our respects and headed back to Livingstone.

The video gives an insight into the lives of the people who fish for substinence. The video shows how simple life is in the village. Despite the fact that the village is built on the banks of the river there is no running water. Water has to be fetched from the river as and when required. This job is carried about by the women and children of the village. Tragically, from time to time, people perish due to the proliferation of crocodiles. Furthermore, the village does not have any electricity or sanitation.
