what the heck, he's blaming her for being drunk and falling and having to be in a wheelchair? I bet he was a saint when he was a teenager. I fell off a fence when I was drunk before, luckily I was fine but come on, that's just heartless.

Honestly both dads are annoying to me. The unhealthy family dad is for obvious reasons, but the healthy family dad - it annoys me that he clearly puts the blame on Ruth for their marriage. I understand that she is suppose to be a control freak, but he is also running away from her by going to bars at night when he knows that isn't her scene. If I was a mother of two I wouldn't want to still be living that lifestyle, especially if I was in a wheelchair since the bar looked crowded and stiff

It is crazy how these extreme parents always force their extreme behaviour/ experiences and disorders on their kids. Only on Wife Swap. But still, the US version is far more disturbing.

He is such an ass, what is wrong with him, maybe too much cholesterol flowing through his system has caused paralysis to parts of his brain, at least her brain is fully functioning. It was an accident, she was 17, and now she lives with consequences of that accident and has made a good life for herself, and has enough sense to produce well rounded children. His offspring say it all.
