Battle of the U.S. Army Europe and Austrian Military Bands - Both Were Winners

A rare musical summit took place in Viennas neighboring city of Korneuburg when the town hosted an open-air concert with the U.S. Army Europe Band and Chorus and the Military Band of Lower Austria. Starting with a fanfare from the town halls balcony, the program continued with both bands presenting not just typical military marches but also a journey through the rich musical heritage each country has to offer, including Classic, Jazz, Pop, Rock, Swing and even Dixie. At the end of the two-and-a-half-hour program, the ensembles joined forces for Sousas Stars and Stripes Forever and Strauss Radetzkymarsch.
