I cried my heart out when Peel died and got quite emotional watching this. Outside of my family and friends he is, without question, not only one of my favourite people but the most important person in my life.

I still love the man, unreservedly.

I can't think of a more deserving person to be on This Is Your Life. John Peel was a legend and so many unsigned bands who made it in the record industry owe their success to John Peel playing a demo tape or CD they sent in to his show.

I used to listen to his show regularly and I liked the way you would hear a wide range of music.
