Wow- she is amazing. This must have been when Miss America allowed people to perform for more than 90 seconds.

@Devon3579 I agree that it was a lackluster performance, however, I would like to point out that Jennifer Hudson does not sing it in it's original key either. She sings it at least a whole step lower than Holliday.

I remember when I've seen her several times playing with Harry Belafonte back in the 90's....She was fantastic and so is her new very classy album "It's about time"....

This was horrible. First off, she chose the wrong so for her vocal register. She has no range and "I am Changing" requires range and being sung in its original key for effect. You may be able to lower it one half step. Any more than that and you get what you got here. She's a staunch alto and this was the wrong song. She also cracked all throughout the second half. Not good at all. Go listen to Jennifer Holliday or Jennifer Hudson and you'll see how this song is supposed to be sung.
