  • the towel fashion existed since before Edo/Samurai era, wore by construction workers, craftsman, etc, who sweats a lot. Those are called Hachimaki, or Tenugui, and are piece of nylon that is similar to the towel. Well, back in late 80s to 90s, young construction workers wear towel like that(and they are usually badass), so... it may became fashion in recent years? but I feel like I've seen the towel fashion since the day I was born.
