  • I could just say that this is a crap version, but, in a way, it isn't. And what's more, (sorry for the Final Cut quote), I think it is absolutely fantastic to create possibly the greatest Pink Floyd song of all time - out of THIS! Absolutely astonishing. Not the demo, but the song and the development of it.

    Thanks for sharing! =)

  • Most demo's of Roger are crap mate :), but then he had the ingenuity to come up with the lyrics and a basic tune for most of the songs and it is indeed a tribute to the band that they created several masterpieces from such simple compositions.

  • awesome!! hey i heard the money version too. do they have any other demos?

  • I have the money and comfortably numb demo as well, but they are already present in youtube ! but i will upload some more cool floyd songs in the future...keep watching...

  • so genius, pink floyd is the only band that could write a song about time, something so great and big, and pull it off beautifully. my favorite band of all time, always will be.

  • Wow...I hear a lot of Syd here. Guitar?

  • @pancreaskid Actualy he was told by the band members to change those lines to come up with something better lol

  • @CtrlRm I agree, and the demos he recorded... The origin of all.

  • Fucking fascinating. The older I get, the more I love Roger

  • it's a demo, meaning by definition that it's rough and incomplete, what we're you expecting?

  • david gilmour + roger waters = perfection

  • Thanks for sharing, THIS IS AWESOME! Let grass grow in your brain- I will.

  • Also I must say I kind of like the original first line in the chorus - "lying supine in the sunshine, let the grass grow on your brain" - better than what it was changed to ("tired of lying in the sunshine, staying home to watch the rain"). Maybe roger thought too many people would be puzzled by the word "supine"...not the most commonly used word

  • I love hearing this - it gives us insight into how the floyd songs came together - roger has the main idea down, it all starts with him, but then we see how much the song is improved with gilmour and wright's instrumental contributions (and them singing instead of roger of course, though I don't think roger's nearly as bad a singer as people say).
