These are some of the top Tao players on the leaderboards of XBL.

These guys are good! The ending to the first round was like WTF WIN!! XD For you higher tier Tao players out there, this is a feast to watch and learn some new combo capabilities or poking strategies. Full combo's were kinda hard to watch in this case because they dropped ALOT of them, buy you can't really blame them, its online, and lag blows :(

Anyways, enjoy guys, I'm not nearly this good, these guys can tear sh!t up. But its a learning experience! Watch how they maneuver and initiate combo's, its pretty frantic, ESPECIALLY since its a mirror match! :3

well, i have a question ... how badly does 4 frames of lag affect tao's game ... like honestly .. does it make some combos impossible or how does the 4 frames of lag play out... like each time you do a motion for example... if i try 4bc->236c->5b->5c->2d~6->c->9d­~6->c how badly would that effect that combo ... speaking if it's done perfectly from the start

It really depends on the lag, and your skill. Remember, if there's alot of lag, you HAVE TO GO MY MUSCLE MEMORY. You can't go by visual cues on the tv because the inputs are behind, so you have to memorize the whole combo. That combo is pretty simple to do except for the timing after 236C, since its charged, you have to time the 5b after VERY well, or else its going to crap.

Other time frame needy combo's like most taunt combo's require a heavenly amout of skill with lag. :P

I'm quite impressed - those were some unorthodox combos to counter the lag inputs. And - to top it off - I'm amazed that Taosis is able to pull off some of those combos and IB online. Doing 5 frame links, tech traps and instant blocking - with 4 frames of lag - is really pushing it, but he pulls it off quite well.

Both players have excellent spacing and high mix up pressure. For an American scene, that's - by far - one of the most solid Tao mirror matches I've seen.
