@timothycharron this was taken over an hour after sunrise and ceremonies. And yes, not even remoteley in the druid spirit. But the majority respect getting acces to the stones, and appreciate the feeling of being at this world treasure!

The erosion damage from people standing on the fallen stones may be rather worse than the mere prescence of "polluting idiots"?

stone henge was built as part of a triangle, the pyramids in Egypt, and somewhere else in S. America, it was used as a place of initiation, usually lasting 3 days, .. :)

@shtookatz It is not necessarily the same religion that brings people together. It is simply the belief in something higher than themselves. People connect to the Divine in many different ways - some are solitary, while some worship as a group. Either way, this is a celebration of the peak of sunlight on the northern hemisphere, a sign that the Light is always with us.

@shtookatz Clearly, then, you never studied astrology and have NEVER been there yourself. If you think that Pagans are pot-heads, screw-off. Pagans consist of a wide group of spiritual people, including Shamans, Witches, Wiccans, and many more. We care about the Earth on which we live, the air which we breathe, and our well-being overall. We are a very peaceful folk, and care little for needless wars which have torn us away from each other.

They are wasting their time anyway... anyone who consults the archaeological evidence would know the stones are aligned for the winter solstice and not the summer one. I guess its not fun having their unfiting party in the cold months... no matter how many drugs they take!
