I thought Doc Halladay was the 1987 AHRA champ, was there more than one AHRA race that season, or did Holladay win the ADRA championship

Halladay was the 87 ADRA champ, this was the only race the AHRA put on that season. Due to the fact the AHRA actually folded in 84. Spokane carried the name well into this decade though.

Thanks, It said in a press release when Doc Halladay went back racing this year that he was the 1987 AHRA champ, but I guess its easy to confuse the AHRA and ADRA, since they were ran by basically the same people

Considering that the AHRA was pretty much dead and gone by this point, and the winner of this single event was the AHRA World Champion plus the fact Halladay wasnt even in attendence at this race. Id say Doc is the 87 ADRA champ.

I know Oswald was the 1987 IHRA Champion, in fact, the body was later used on a mud bogger. I think Halladay was an IHRA champion once.
