@goji2099 Sure, however this film was released in 2008 and a friend on facebook only just found out about it. It's not like Inception where as soon as it comes it everyone knows about it due to the massive PR it gets. Even then budget isn't the only thing that sets the difference. District 9 was a low budget film. And yet that was mainstream. I don't think you can truly define what the two are, only decide for yourself if something is mainstream or not based on your gut feeling.
