How To Live Off The Land

An adventure movie where the viewer is shown how to live off the land. Hunting, diving for giant Crayfish, fishing and gathering food from the New Zealand back country and coastline is all part of the adventure.
The viewer is shown how to get food for free and eat better than most do at home or in restaurants.
Crayfish the size of which most can only dream off are caught and released because Dawson is an expert at finding the monsters of the deep.
Spear fishing with nothing but a hand spear yields more fish than the team can eat.
Hunting wild boars is second nature to Dawson with his team of dogs and armed with nothing more than a pocket knife.
Living off the Land is what the movie is about and to show one way of doing it, Dawson goes fishing for Whitebait in the North and South Islands .... the result, a catch of $30,000 in one week.
The secrets of how an expert Bushman, Diver, ex Professional Hunter, Fisherman, Adventurer and Film Maker are all there to be seen in the movie.
For part of the adventure Dawson is joined by 3 Czechs, the 2 sisters and a boyfriend are in the company of one of New Zealand's last great adventurers.

One commentator on Dawson's movies suggested he was a modern day ' Crocodile Dundee ' Dawson's responce .... bugger off I am real.
