feeder fish provide "roughage" dude, do you know what that word means? -__- and I should certainly hope that feeder fish do something nutritional cause fish is what these fish eat in the wild. I'll never get why people actually believe that their pets came from some sort of magical place and not from real animals IN THE WILD that don't have dry food in cute little pouches for them to eat <<

@dragonq7 in the wild they also don't eat goldfish that grew up with thousands of other goldfish crowded into a tank in an artificial environment. Underfed and not cared for correctly, and crowded = diseased fish dude! they need to be taken care of and healthy.

So just feeder goldfish alone don't provide enough nutrition for an Oscar's diet, they still have BONES(roughage) and SCALES(roughage) + live enzymes.

@SPACEDMADNESS42 plus the whole Oscar being rough on the goldfish by eating them alive provides some roughage towards the goldfish so it's all good.

roughage can also be be used as slang(example): I'm gonna give that guy his roughage by means of a gun down his throat! that's after me and my boys rough him up a bit with baseball bats, well hey that two kinds of roughage, your gonna get your fiber today Johny you just wait!

@TheMewsie my guess is the oscar would do what mine does, manage 3-4 in it's mouth, get them finished, then go after two more and wait till he is hungry again to finish off the rest, if the other oscar didn't already
