Lister CS 6/1 automatic lighting plant start up.

Lister self start diesel generator, 240v ac mains, supplied new to a local farm, then used as main power source for our isolated bungalow, now a standby in case of power cuts. Very reliable never needed anything apart from the occasional service..

That's a nice setup. How many gallons per hour is the fuel consumption? Also, you should put an air filter/cleaner on it to prevent cylinder wear from dust particles.

Its very economical, i've not measured it but guess it'll run about 6 hours on a gallon, when it was installed in the early 90's i know it cost 10p an hour to run, we used to leave all the lights and everything switched because because it just wasnt worth the saving of switching things off!

I like the setting, looks very rustic. A lot of patena. Sounds good wish there were more of them in this part of the world. Phil

@Renatodonadio good thinking, plus it would give the engine a chance to warm up a little b4 a load was applied.

I love the lister CS engine,I even like the lister clones churned out in India these days,fantastic bomb proof engines,

You should find a way to engage the power output only when the engine is running steady. Low power could damage the appliances.

i love it. i wish the quality was a bit better, but it's a great machine. nice start up !!!
