Houston has been hit with a computer bug like no other: a swarm of ants that are eating through electronics. The "Crazy Raspberry Ants" are believed to have arrived in Texas aboard a cargo ship, and are causing widespread mayhem. For some unknown reason they are attracted to electrical equipment, which is causing problems for residents in the Deep South. The ants have destroyed PCs in homes and offices, ruined pumps at a sewage treatment plant and even taken a fancy to homeowners' gas meters, according to reports from the Associated Press. "If you open a computer, you would find a cluster of ants on the motherboard and all over," said Tom Raspberry, the owner of Budget Pest Control and the man the ants have been named after.

buy the chemical cyzmic cs they do not like this chemical and it will keep them out of your electric duct work . regular cyzmic cs cost 36.00 bucks the oderless to keep it safe around kids, run about $50.00 bucks . you mix the chemical into a sprayer 1 part gallon of water just around the house and effected area. I promise you less or no crazy ants!!!

ok everyone I think i have a cure for this rasberry crazy ants, My name is Rick I stay in east Houston. I am also a firefighter also,ok these ants was about to come into my home every day they left their corpses on my doorstep. I had tried everything and these ants keep coming back because of multiple queens. My neighbor told me about this chemical. The chemical name is cyzmic cs they hate it. This will definately get rid of your problem!! it's cost is 50.00 bucks

Ive seen these types of ants over 20 years ago in Houston and in Galveston. nothing new, the population must be getting big enough to cause a nuisance though
