1st of all ovi should be in his prime now look where he is now, 2nd of all lightning are done, they won the cup but there done for the next 5 years, 3rdly, I think boston or new york will win it this year. (coming from a flyers fan) just going with the stats

I have a feeling buffalo will be in the top 4 of the east. They have so much depth, it's hard not to think they will do great things. I also think (although I'm a Canucks fan) the nucks will not be #1 in the west. It's going to be tough losing Ehrhoff, as well as Kesler and Raymond not in the line up to start the season. Also last year, teams took the nucks too lightly and respected the sedins too much. This year will be a lot harder on them but they will still be 2,3, or 4 in West.

Richards and Carter were huge parts to the Flyers...but they werent winning the cup without a goalie. Bryz was the guy who will propel the Flyers to the cup...not this year, but maybe in 3 or so. Ppl say it was a huge deal when they still have Briere, JVR, and Giroux. They were overloaded in the Center position and this freed it up...i was upset at first but i believe that this was a necessary move. I definitely think the Flyers will be in the playoffs...no doubt in my mind!

I don't see the oilers finishing in last again. they are a rebuilding team, and if they finish in last again it is a sign of no improvement or they were cursed with injuries. i don't see them doing too well, but they could finish around 12th or 13th. the avalanche to me have no goaltending, might as well put six guys on the ice and leave the net empty because it wouldn't make a difference. just my thoughts.
