Lebanon PA 9/11/2009: The 8th Annual Patriot Day Concert, hosted by the Lebanon Valley Chamber of Commerce, was held at Lebanon High School. The Joint Forces Color Guard from Fort Indiantown Gap posted the colors. Karen Groh welcomed everyone and thanked sponsors from the Good Samaritan Health System, Buzgon Davis Law Office, and the Hershey-Palmyra Sertoma Club. Mayor Trish Ward welcomed speaker Erik Ronningen, a survivor of the Twin Towers, who shared his captivating 35-minute firsthand experience. Don Bowman served as Concert moderator. Timothy Erdman directed the Lebanon Community Band. Special performances by Pedro Antonnety on drums; songs like God Bless the USA performed by Steve Bord; Jessica Weidman songs including the Star Spangled Banner; as well as Battle Hymn of the Republic by the Mannerchor Choir and directed by Kenneth Horst, brought the audience of about 1000 to their feet many times. A salute to the Armed Forces and waving of American flags added to the evenings memorial.
