QTVR as a tool allows the user to see objects at various angles and see large-scale panned images at 360°. For this test, I created a box using Lightwave Modeller, then ported it into Lightwave itself to carryout a tutorial where I positioned the camera in various angles and moved the box on an angle before creating a keyframe, I repeated this process until all of the box had been viewed from all sides.
When exported as a QTVR, the user can drag the mouse cursor over the object, hold down click and drag the box to spin the box. The user can also click the + and -- signs to zoom in and zoom out. When uploaded to youtube, the interactivity is disabled and it simply turns into an animation of a spinning box.
This is a very exciting way to interact and view 3D objects online such as planets and to zoom in on a planet to view details such as the surface and craters, something otherwise impossible.
