  • Who is the jackass referring to a 418' SHIP as a BOAT! Another USCG clueless public affairs idiot?

    And old CWO (BOSN) sends!

  • God Bless ya .I served on a 180

    Former Active Duty BM3 C.Goodspeed

  • ain't that the truth! (coming from a ex buoy tender non rate) now mst in san fran

  • Well after being in the military and on ships for years, I can tell you it can't be prevented. Freshly painted it looks great, but that does not last after the first use of the anchor.

And if you think anyone is going to spend 10 man hours every couple days to keep that painted and/or clean, well... you don't know anything about military priorities.

Detailing boats is not the same as maintaining ships in fighting condition. LOL.

  • no thats what windshield wipers are for.... and after detailing boats for years i think that rust on the bow can probably be prevented...ya know it might take 10 hours to do so but it can be cleaned and prevented

  • That's the anchor chain dripping rust. Can't be prevented.

Do you pull over on the road to clean your windshield when you get a bug on it. If so then it must take you ten hours to get somewhere that takes 30 minutes to travel.

  • i think they need to clean that rust off the bow
