  • Thanks for the list of books. You are doing a great job of helping humanity.

  • I don't think I've ever had a "real" lucid dream before, but I guess a newcomer would react something like this:

"Hey, wait... something's wrong here... isn't this reality? but it looks kinda strange... wait a moment............!... is it a DREAM?!

    Yes, YES, it IS!

    WOW!!!

Hold on, hold on, wait, I must relax, Tim said so, but... oh my god, this is crazy! Finally a lucid dream! I can do whatever I want! This is aweso...!!!"

  • What sort of things do you highlight in 'Exploring the world of lucid dreaming'. For me it's all relevant :S

  • @herpderpmonkey Yes, i have purposely achieved it...a friend told me about it and i wanted to learn how to do it, first i tried something called binaural beats, but that didnt work. But after watching all of this guy's videos i was able to do it. Ive been attempting to do it for about a month and a half (off and on again), and so far ive been able to do it 3 times. Now im working on learning how to have them whenever i want and how to completely control them.

  • a year ago i learned about lucid dreams and all i did to have them fairly quickly was the reality checks, but i got out of the habit and this time, im doing the reality checks and the dream journal, but im not having any luck yet. last year, it took me probably 1-2 days, its been 4 now, but im not giving up hope yet!

  • @herpderpmonkey Not really on command yet, but I did come to a point when I started getting dreams of waking up 2-3 times a weeks without even trying to get them.

Lucid dreams are all about awareness, and it seems logical to me that someone with an extreme awareness could get lucid dreams very easily, especially if they decide that they want to become lucid before they fall asleep.

  • @Laurelindo So have you personally achieved lucid dream on command?

  • @herpderpmonkey And with "notice" I mean that you should use all your senses as much as possible. What do your clothes feel like? What does the air smell like? What sounds do you hear around you? Things like that. It's known as Lucid Living, or All Day Awaereness, and is one of the best ways to improve you awareness in dreams - by paying more attention to everything around you.

  • @herpderpmonkey There's nothing strange about that, in fact it's pretty logical.

Think of it like this - when you are awake you tend to do a lot of things on "auto-pilot" without reflecting over it - most things are done by pure habit - and that's also the way you act in dreams - things pass you by, and you aren't "present".

BUT, if you start to practice awareness in real life and really notice everything around you, then you will eventually act that way in your dreams as well.

  • @Laurelindo Yeah but purposefully achieving it is the skeptical part.

  • @JustinDiggsTV have you personally achieved it purposely?

  • @herpderpmonkey It works and its very possible, you get really excited the first time you do it...you have to seriously do the techniques though, you havet to completely decide that you want to do it
