Panasonic Lumix DMC-LS80 Video Movie test

Panasonic Lumix DMC-LS80 in Movie mode. Taken at its highest resolution in widescreen mode. White balance manually adjusted. Low lit room. My boy Taz dog as the subject.

Notes:
- widescreen suits youtube very nicely
- Focus can only be set at the beginning of the video and does not adjust during filming.
- Colours are freakin fantastic
- 30fps
- Poor sound recording quality
- saves in *.mov format, very large file sizes. This video was 30megs.
- nice antishake technology
- zoom can be set before recording, no zoom ability during video recording.

Verdict: I am super happy with the video taking abilities of such a cheap digital still camera. I'll have to bring a minidisc recorder around to record better quality sound to match the video.

i have same model like you..but when i record a video,,the video doesnt have audio..can you help me..please..

Have you tried playing back the videos on your computer? There won't be any sound when you playback on the camera because the camera doesn't have any speaker. The sounds should still play when you use your computer though.

ive filmed frm mi cam but i cnt get the videos 2 work on movie maker. has n e 1 got n e sujestions??

You need to convert the video files from *.mov to something windows movie maker can use like *.avi or *.wmv. Search google for mov to wmv convertor.

Infact the audio recording is pretty good. I filmed a concert with it near the boxes with very loud sound and it recored it well. I posted the video as a Video Response :)

Heya, nice video! Good music from the concert. I actually disagree that the audio is good quality. It lacks depth and clarity within the higher frequencies. Have a listen to the audio recorded by some canon cameras. Then again, perhaps I am expecting too much from a cheap camera. Thanks for the response!
