808 State - Thermo Kings *SERIOUS ACID* 1988

Classic acid recorded live at a gig in a swimming baths in 1988 but only released on Rephlex in 2004. It was worth the wait as it's from back when A Guy Called Gerald (Simpson) was in the line-up.

The recording quality is a little below par but it is , after all , a live recording.

It's in my top 5 acid cuts of all time.

@Elmware this is how its supposed to sound. if you think this is bad , you should hear some of the other tracks off the LP which sound as if they are pressed from a cassette which has had the taped chewed up by Geralds dog. No exaggeration.

Great stuff and yeah, the CD quality isn't great either on Prebuild. So gutted I lent my vinyl Newbuild to a girl 20 odd years ago, never to be seen again. If you read this Kerry can I have it back!? Anyway, sounds like Gerald took the opening drumbeat straight into Voodoo Ray.
