  • very good tutorial! great player and teacher. keep on the good work. thank you!

  • What kind of bass is that

  • I've been playing bass for 10 months or so and I really appreciate your lessons. I became interested in chordal/chord melody bass guitar playing after discovering Todd Johnson, Stu Hamm, Wooten, Zander Zon and Jeff Berlin. So far I've been watching jazz guitar vids and adopting the techniques for a 4 string bass guitar, and working on simple songs like "Silent Night" and "London Bridge". Your explanations have demystified chord-melody approach for bass for me!

  • Awesome lesson! I'm looking forward to the rest of them! Thanks! To the shed! :D

  • @KincaidBass IIRC Manhattan School of Music and Berklee, I think?

  • Man, you're awesome.

I find it fascinating how sometimes we arrive at concepts intuitively, for example, I love playing with augmented triads and used to find it interesting how all of the inversions have the same shape.

The top note thing I found really interesting.

I'd love to see more videos on theory, specially about tension and resolution, I never quite got that...

  • what college do you, or did you, go to?
