THE BATTLE OF BUNKER HILL is the story of the first major conflict of the American Revolution, and how two fathers and two sons left their farms, and joined the battle to defend the heights overlooking Boston Harbor. Through an innovative blending of epic recreation, historical commentary and vintage imagery, you will learn about life during that time, as well as the reasons why our Forefathers chose to rebel against the mighty British Empire and forge a new nation, conceived in liberty and freedom.

AMERICA: HER PEOPLE, HER STORIES is a series of DVDs from Producer/Director Tony Malanowski designed to teach the history of the United States in an informative and positive way. Each DVD will be shot on motion picture film, and digitally transferred to High-Definition, and will have a complete audio mix in both 5.1 and 2.0 Dolby Digital Stereo, with a full symphonic score.

  • @MrDeano324 thank you !! yes ! At Yorkton the British were cut off from being supplied or being evacuated from the fort by the french navy . they were hemmed in by both french and americans . thank you for educating us. When we study in detail we find that french dutch and spanish naval power - material support - american guerilla warfare was too much. the colonials alone were no match though .thank you

  • the battle didn't happen on Bunker Hill though... it was fought on Breeds Hill....

  • @beeroosterm Wish i could cut/paste the letter he wrote home to his wife the following day here to show you.

  • @MrDeano324 No one is altering history for their own gain. Kommie is essentially correct. We kicked ass until we ran out of ammunition and then retreated. The British suffered a high casualty rate and lost an enormous number of officers during the battle, seriously affecting their ranks and as Kommie stated "showed the colonies that they could fight the British and have some hope of victory". My 6th great grandfather participated as a captain of 50 minutemen and fired until his rifle plugged up.

  • @KrazyKommieKiller

You talk as though the colonies won the revolutionary war?. Anyone with an ounce of historical knowledge knows the colonies were taking astronimical losses until the intervention of France, Spain and the Dutch. Britain was overwhelmed with enemies on two fronts, Europe and North America. A loss was the only result possible with such large odds stacked against them....I take it your American?. My original comment stands true then...

  • @MrDeano324 It was a British pyrrhic victory. The only reason they took the hill is the minutemen holding it ran out of ammunition. It showed the colonies that they could fight the British and have some hope of victory. It gave the colonies the push they needed to support revolution.

  • But the Battle of Bunker Hill was a British victory...

Trust the Americans to alter history for Their own gain.

  • kind of corny, but still looks like a great documentary
