Ike Turner's contribution to modern music and his skill as a musician are under-rated, as evidenced here. As a talent scout for Sun Records he discovered many great talents like Albert King. He recorded the first rock song, "Rocket 88". Although Turner was certainly no saint, the Disney movie about Tina Turner unfairly caused him much harm and loss of income. Did I mention he was a killer guitar player?
