I dont know what species i saw when i last went to the zoo but they were soooo cute. They looked more like mini bears rather than foxes.

Ya. That is why they are called as Flying foxes,other wise known as Fruit bats.

I too love them. We saw these fruit bats (Flying foxs)in Singapore Zoo which are about 30cm (12 inches) in length and a wingspan of 90cm(3 feet).
The largest fruit bats(flying foxs) reach 40cm (16inches) in length and wingspan of 150cm (5feet) weighing in at nearly 1kg
(more than 2pounds).
