@Ombrenuit Yeah, that's really a 7 day prototype, not a real game and the final fight is really painful. I intend to release a new version for the ARRP 2011 (Sept 18th) that will hopefully improve the gameplay...

I tried the game and it feels awesome :) Not traditional rogulike, maybe not even totaly roguelike. But seems your lib has huge potential. Definitely has some diablo feel, just with keyboard controls (that is very nice). Well i'm just Very impressed :) it plays like diablo and in some sense looks better than diablo, that is because i always find roguelike like graphics very appealing because they are very clear, if you know what i mean :)

Indeed ascii graphics improves gameplay by making the game screen more readable. This is only a prototype. The next one, using libtcod 1.5 should be even better...

Looks like you used the Doryen Library for this. Good job!

Also, love the mouse-controlled fireball shooting. You should use that for spells in Doryen. Heh... rapid-fire magic missile.
