Road Accident Kills Five in Uttar Pradesh, India

A deadly road accident in India's Uttar Pradesh today. At least five people were killed and several others were injured when a speeding bus collided with another vehicle.




On Friday, a road accident claimed the lives of at least five people and injured several others in the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh. The crash happened when a speeding bus hit a tractor-trolley.

"They were on a tractor-trolley going towards Haridwar when an empty bus came at full speed and rammed into it. That's how this tragedy took place."

Several Hindu devotees were traveling in a tractor-trolley towards the city of Haridwar when the speeding bus hit them.

The injured were rushed to a nearby hospital.

Authorities say the accident would have been worse if the bus was carrying passengers.
