I was blessed with some irregular horns on these last two, as a rolling meet occurred right in front of the CofG-Heritage caboose. In this meet, NS 221 came south with an ex-Conrail D8-40CW sporting a Leslie S3L. When the northbound came, I panned frantically and got very sloppy in my filming (thus, the major editing). This is the second time I've picked the wrong train to focus on during a meet. The first time was in CSX Abbeville Subdivision Railfanning - 10/17/10: Part 1 - Meet You at Harper Siding'. Thanks for watching, everyone!

  • @cheechchongfan97 The only ES44AC's I've seen have been on the Pocahontas District in Bluefield, WV or passing through Chattanooga. The coal trains to Macon do not come through here, but they travel south on a line west of this one, via Chattanooga.

  • Nice RS3L. Have you saw any of the ES44ACs yet? Do the coal trains to Macon go by there?

  • @FastFlyingVirginian Hah. Next time a meet is happening, I'm staying with the first train, no matter what! Thanks for the comment.

  • We all focus on the wrong train in a meet at some point, I believe. However, I think it would have worked just as well to have remained focused on the first train, pulled back, and let the second train come into the shot on its own.

It's a strange world when you go out railfanning in GA and have snow on the ground vs. Richmond being mostly sunny and 48.
