CNC Fusion kit for Harbor Freight/Central Machinery Mini Mill (Seig X2).

Only required some minor grinding of the saddle and I also altered some nylon strip jib bolts from little machine shop by epoxying a nut on the end so they could be adjusted with a box wrench as the new Z mount blocks their usual adjustment with an allen wrench.

Z and Y way cover is combined with a bracket I made to protect the exposed Z Ball screw.

  • @maxxwellvonzepplin Thanks. If you haven't already, Get a 4x12" piece of steel at least 1/4" thick. Drill hole about 4" from the bottom and install it against column under the nut and washer and it will stiffen the mill up a decent amount.

  • Nice conversion kit. Just bought the same mill and I'll be looking at the same conversion for it. Totally surprised at the speed and responsiveness of the unit. Looks Great. Can't Wait..
