I think Oldboy is gorier than CH and wayyyyy more disturbing. One of my faves! Props for the ref.

Oldboy is more disturbing, yes, but I wouldn't say it's gorier than CH. I mean, Oldboy had the scene where Dae-su removes a guys teeth with a hammer, but CH has a scene where they cut the head of a little monkey and sucks i brains out and eats it.

@lovefink2 That one didn't bug me that much only because i've hunted/fished/cleaned out animals with my dad and it just looked like what one might do on a camping trip. I'm not advocating slaughtering animals for the sake of entertainment, but the turtle scene wasn't didn't shock me that much.
