NBC25's Ilse Lujan-Hayes is live this morning from Flint where she is talking about efforts to help those in need.

With temperatures dropping, help is needed for those that cannot afford their heating bills.

The Walk for Warmth program is here to help.

Ilse interviewed Steve Walker, the executive director of G-CARD (Genesee County Community Action Resource Department).

You can learn about Walk for Warmth and get involved by going to their website.

If you or someone you know needs help with their heating bill, you can go to the Michigan Department of Human Services page about heating bills.
